Russia: Russia increases beer excise and minimum price on vodka
As of January 1st, Russia has increased the minimum price on vodka and other strong liquor, as well as the excise duties on beer and wine, the Kommersant reported.
Minimum price on vodka is now RUB230 versus RUB215 last year.
The excise on beer containing 8.6% of ethyl alcohol has been increased to RUB41 per litre from RUB39 in 2019.
The excise on beer with less than 0.5% alcohol is unchanged.
Besides, the government introduced a unique excise system on both domestic and imported wine, the Kommersant said.
