USA, CT: Hanging Hills Brewing Company announces permanent closure due to COVID-19 outbreak
COVID-19 has claimed its first brewery closure in Connecticut, CT Post reported on March 25.
Hanging Hills Brewing Company, who closed their taproom on March 20, announced on Facebook on March 25 that they would close their doors to their Hartford brewery.
"Seeing the bulk of our distribution pipeline shut down, we realized with this perfect storm we could not afford to stay operational given our cost structure," said the Brewery on Facebook. "While we would've preferred to go out with a banging party, the virus ended that hope and we opted for the measured response."
The brewery did make mention of keeping their brand alive through partnerships with other breweries, or through other creative solutions.
Hanging Hills Brewing Company has been brewing at their Ledyard Street location in Hartford since 2016.
