USA, CT: Paddle Creek Beer Company officially canning its first beers
Five years after starting its home brew operations, Paddle Creek Beer Company in East Hartford is officially canning its first beers, The Register Citizen reported on July 28.
The new beers will be available on Saturday, Aug. 1 through a pickup window, according to the brewery's Facebook page. Two of the three beers that will be on sale have been unveiled with the third one still remaining a mystery.
The first, Lawn Racer, is a Kolsch Style Ale, which is being labeled as the "first of our lawn mower series of beers where we have worked hard to provide a flavorful but crisp beer."
The second, Citranade, is a fruity double-hopped IPA. The brew is made with citra, mosiac, azacca, and galaxy to give it "flavors of orange juice, mango and tropical fruit," according to the site.
In addition, the brewery also has plans to open its first taproom in East Hartford in the future. According to the website, the new taproom boasts 900 sq ft of brewing space, and features "a 7BBL system with a cellar capacity of 1,750 barrels of beer per year."
