Australia: Adelaide’s Coopers Brewery announced on December 15, 2004 it has appointed Mr John Hood as Brewing Manager. Mr Hood, who started his brewing career in Adelaide 38 years ago, has spent the past five years as Technical Development Manager for Boags Brewery in Tasmania. He replaces Mr Zane Barnes, who recently took up a position with Coors Brewery in the United States. Coopers Managing Director and Chief Brewer, Dr Tim Cooper, said that Coopers continued rapid growth meant additional skills were required in the brewing area. “John is an experienced brewer will add considerable depth to our brewing team,” he said. “He also has a good knowledge of the South Australian market, having started his brewing career in Adelaide.”
