USA, WI, PA & TN: City Brewing Co. considering a sale – sources

City Brewing Co., a contract beer-brewer, is considering a sale, according to people with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg reported on November 19.

The company could fetch more than $1 billion in a sale, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information.

City Brewing hasn’t made a final decision to pursue a sale, the people said.

A representative for City Brewing didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

City Brewing produces about 40 different brew recipes for contract brewing customers including Guinness Blonde American Lager, The Bronx Brewery and Duquesne Pilsner. It also operates a packaging business as well as warehouses and distribution services, according to its website.

The company operates three facilities, one each in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
