Canada, MB: Black Wheat Brewing announces limited release of its first two beers
A brewery currently under construction in Brandon has announced a limited release of its first two beers, thanks to the assistance of another Manitoba brewery, the Canadian Beer News reported on December 21.
Black Wheat Brewing is being established by Ted and Gloria Birch along with two other investors, and will be located in a 4000-square-foot building at 402 10th Street.
While the build-out of the new facility is in progress, Black Wheat has contracted Barn Hammer Brewing in Winnipeg to brew inaugural batches of Reality Czech Pale Lager (4.8% abv), which features “rich, round, clean pilsner malt flavor and premium Czech yeast heavenly balanced with flowery, spicy Czech saaz hops”; and Empire Ale American IPA (6.8% abv), a “hop-forward ale with a clean fermentation profile, crisp finish, and clean supporting light malt tones allowing a range of tropical aromas and flavors from hops to shine through.”
Both Black Wheat beers can be ordered now via the Barn Hammer website for home delivery exclusively in Brandon.
