USA, MD: Battery Island Brewing planning to open on March 24

A new brewing company is coming to Havre de Grace in March, Patch.com reported on February 17.

Battery Island Brewing reported it is planning to open March 24.

The owners originally hoped to welcome patrons by St. Patrick's Day, but due to some facility issues such as ironing out utilities, the pub had to postpone its projected opening.

Military veterans Kevin Wilson and Kyle Hurst own the business, which will have a handful of original beers on tap — including "The Vermonter," which has five types of American hops — in addition to rotating and seasonal brews as well.

Battery Island Brewing will be at 101a North Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
