USA, IN: Goodwood Brewing is expanding to Indianapolis
Goodwood Brewing is expanding to a new Midwest city, the Louisville Courier Journal reported on March 29.
The Louisville-based brewery is taking over the RAM Restaurant and Brewpub in Indianapolis, Indiana at 140 S. Illinois St. with a targeted opening date of July 5.
Goodwood Indianapolis will have a full kitchen and brewery and its usual well-known beers and spirits, as well as rotating seasonal brews. The food menu will feature southern classics such as chicken and waffles, buffalo cauliflower, bourbon-brined pork chops and a weekend brunch menu. The menu will highlight house-made and craft beer-infused sauces, including Goodwood's new line of beer-infused hot sauces.
The Indianapolis location is the fourth brewpub and the first outside of Kentucky. Other Goodwood locations are in Louisville, Lexington and Frankfort.
“Goodwood is excited to be expanding to Indiana’s capital city," CEO Ted Mitzlaff said in a release. "Indianapolis is a great community with a vibrant craft beer scene. Located in the heart of downtown, we will cater to locals, sports fans, tourists and conventioneers. We offer lunch and dinner, an excellent spot for sports viewing and a variety of craft beer and spirits."
Goodwood has been producing craft beer since 2005 and expanded to beer barrel-finished bourbon and rye in 2019.
