USA, IL: Two breweries to open in Chicago’s Logan Square area in May
Brewery news

Last week, Marz Community Brewing opened a brewery in Bucktown, right on the border with Logan Square, and the area isn’t quite done. In May, Ravinia and Soleman Oath brewing will open brewpubs in the area. Both breweries have suburban locations and this would be their first Chicago outposts, the Eater Chicago reported on April 27.

Ravinia, which will serve tacos alongside its beer, will open on May 7 at 2601 W. Diversey Avenue, according to a report. Solemn Oath hasn’t revealed an opening date for its brewpub at 2919 W. Armitage Avenue. As first reported by the Tribune, it should open in mid-May.

At Ravinia, they’ve hired chef Juan Carlos Bueno, who was on the opening team a Lagunitas Taproom and Brewery. While that Douglass Park brewpub remains closed to the public, Ownership it touting vegetarian options (they weren’t specific about vegan items) and fried ice cream for dessert.

Eventually, Ravinia will add lunch and carryout. For the buildout, designed added garage door windows to increase airflow to create a more comfortable atmosphere during the pandemic.

Solemn Oath and Ravinia add to an impressive list of Logan Square breweries: Bixi Beer, Hopewell, Pilot Project, Maplewood, Marz, Middle Brow, and Revolution. Additionally, Metropolitan Brewing, overlooking the Chicago River, is in adjacent Avondale.
