Canada, BC: Boardwalk Brewing now open in Port Coquitlam
A new brewery that aims to “celebrate the coming together of hard work, endless passion and the simple pleasures in life” is now open in the Fremont Village area of Port Coquitlam, the Canadian Beer News reported on July 12.
Boardwalk Brewing has been founded by Phil Saxe, and received media attention last October when two fermenting tanks were stolen from outside the brewery while it was under construction, and then found and recovered from local scrapyards several days later.
The brewery taproom opened to the public last Friday, July 9th with an opening line-up of four beers on tap, including Falling Backwards West Coast Pale Ale (5.3% abv), Superbloom Hazy Norwegian IPA (7% abv), Dance Dance Dance American Lager (5% abv), and A Weak Heart Hazy Pale Ale (5.2% abv).
A short food menu is also on offer, featuring tacos, salads, rice bowls, and various small plates.
Boardwalk Brewing is located at 2155 – 575 Seaborne Ave. in Port Coquitlam.
