USA, MN: Mana Brewing Co. plans to open in downtown Shakopee in spring
A new brewery and taproom is set to move into a recently completed apartment building in downtown Shakopee, The Minneapolis Business Journal reported on December 14.
Mana Brewing Co. plans to open in the spring at 129 Holmes St. S., where it will occupy nearly 5,000 square feet on the ground floor of The Deco, West Fargo, N.D.-based firm Enclave Development's 89-unit apartment building on the former city hall site. A liquor license for the brewery was approved last week by the Shakopee City Council.
Mana Brewing will offer ales and lagers, including six core varieties, rotating seasonal brews, limited releases and other experimental offerings, alongside wood-fired pizza.
"We chose Shakopee for our location for two reasons. The first being a high-growth, booming area; secondly because we love this area, are proud to call it home and want to engage in our community," the brewery says on its website.
Mana Brewing and its CEO, Travis Bechtold, did not respond to requests for comment.
Shakopee already has two other breweries: Shakopee Brewhall and Badger Hill Brewery.
