Canada, BC: Old Yale Brewing to expand to second location in downtown Abbotsford
Old Yale Brewing has announced plans to expand beyond its current home in Chilliwack, BC, with the upcoming opening of a second location in downtown Abbotsford, the Canadian Beer News reported on April 19.
As described in the announcement:
The 10,000 square foot, 220 seat Craft Brewery + Kitchen will feature a 10 hectoliter brewhouse, a full bar with 15 beers on tap, 4 of which will come directly from 10hl serving tanks, a full service 700-square foot kitchen and a cozy 30-seat covered patio.
Other features for the outdoor and cabin-inspired Abbotsford location include a games area, Little Explorers corner, a beer and merchandise store and unique design elements like a 12 ft tree, cabin-like booths and a river-inspired mural created by local artist Pencil Fingerz.
“We are thrilled to finally announce our expansion into Abbotsford,” said Zach Van Leeuwen, Managing Partner of Old Yale Brewing, in a statement. “We started this project in late 2019, and it’s been a long road. We’ve been furiously working behind the scenes to ensure that we can replicate the amazing customer experience we offer to our customers in Chilliwack, and bring it to our friends, family and customers in the beautiful city of Abbotsford.”
“Our community has been enjoying our award-winning beer and campfire-inspired menu at our Chilliwack location for many many years and we are thrilled to finally be able to offer that exceptional experience to more deserving members of our Fraser Valley community,” added Heather Perdue, the brewery’s Brand & Marketing Strategist. “Abbotsford has been our next-door neighbour since 1999 and we cannot wait to move in!”
Old Yale Abbotsford is under construction now, and is expected to open in Winter 2022-23.
