USA, WY: Casper City Council approves a new microbrewery license for Bull Horn Brewing LLC
Brewery news

The Casper City Council approved a new microbrewery license for Bull Horn Brewing LLC during its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 3. The new brewery plans to open in the same building as O’Reilly Auto Parts at 2027 E. Yellowstone Highway Unit B, the Oil City News reported.

“We just look forward to having a license, getting our business going [and] being a part of the community as well,” Holden Kai, who, along with Joe and Beverly Rosen, owns the new brewery, told the council ahead of the vote.

Bull Horn will add to what is a growing brewery district in the area. In March, the council approved a new microbrewery license for Stahoo’s Brewery and Taproom at 1015 East C St.; Skull Tree Brewing and Mountain Hops Brewhouse are also located in the neighborhood.

The brewery will be located in the back portion of the building, with O’Reilly Auto Parts occupying the front.

Casper currently has seven microbrewery licenses issued. A cap on the number of microbrewery licenses a municipality can issue was repealed in 2021, city staff explain, so there is no limit to the number that can be issued in Casper.

The council’s vote on May 3 was 7–0. Councilmember Amber Pollock, who is co-owner of Backwards Distilling Company, abstained from the vote to avoid any conflict of interest. Councilmember Lisa Engebretsen was not in attendance on May 3.
