Ukraine: Cosiderable flow of grain moved out of Ukraine since grain corridor operation opened
Although the situation could change rapidly due to geopolitical events, since the grain corridor operation was opened in Ukraine a consistent flow of grain has moved, RMI Analytics said in their early October report.
In October 1st alone, 11 vessels departed ports, including a reported 29 thousand tonnes of barley destined for Lybia. In total, since the re-opening 5.7 mln tonnes of agricultural products have been exported in 252 vessels, with most common destinations being across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Markets remain ultra-sensitive to events in the Black Sea. Turkey released a tender at the beginning of October for 500 thousand tonnes of feed barley, shipment in October, November, and December 2022, adding some further bullishness to prices.
