USA, PA: Broad Street Brewing to open its doors in Bristol on June 30
After nine years in the making, Broad Street Brewing will open the doors of its flagship brewery and tasting room on June 30 in Bristol, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Co-owners Ed Webber and Brandon Wellington purchased the name in 2014 from a shuttered Iowa brewery and have been planning the concept ever since.
The Bucks County residents, who have been home brewing for a few years, were originally planning to open their brewery in conjunction with Jericho Mountain Beef, their Newtown micro cattle ranch. However, Jericho Mountain did not come across as many obstacles during the opening process and got it up and running by 2020.
The initial brick-and-mortar space for Broad Street Brewing will accommodate about 80 people. It will have eight beers on tap which will be expanded to 12 after a month in operation.
Among the brewery’s signature beers are Independence Lager, 76 and Sunny, and Hey Yo! Hazy.
The brewery also plans on hosting a rotating lineup of food trucks. Customers will also be able to get food at Sal’s Italian Deli of Bristol which has leased space on the property.
