USA, TX: Black Laboratory Brewing to cease production of beer, focus on seltzers
A popular brewery on the Eastside of San Antonio has announced that it will cease production of its staple product.
Maybe it's a sign of the times that Black Laboratory Brewing will no longer brew beer in-house. The brewery and neighborhood hangout has become known for beers like the Bindi Blonde Ale and the Lab IPA, but the business says it will shift focus from beer to seltzers.
"As of January 1st, we will no longer be brewing out own beer and will only be brewing seltzer-based beverages. We will still have craft beer available alongside out house brewed seltzers as we will be bringing in outside beers from some of our favorite local and non-local breweries," Black Laboratory stated in an Instagram post from Tuesday, December 19.
Popular special brews from Black Lab, like the Puro San Antonio and Leprechaun Blood, will still be included in the brewery's offerings, but they'll be made with a seltzer base.
