USA, NJ: Magnify Brewing about to start construction of its facility in Medford
Construction is on tap to begin soon for Magnify Brewing, which will become Medford’s fourth brewery, the Courier Post reported on January 17.
Magnify Brewing owner Eric Ruta said his brewery is targeted to open in the fourth quarter of 2024. The location will be 17 North Main Street, within walking distance of the three other breweries in town. All are located on Main Street.
Ruta said Magnify, which has been in business for almost nine years in Fairfield in North Jersey, said after a few years in business they had reached capacity and knew they wanted to expand.
“We looked into building a second location in several parts of the state to explore all options,” Ruta told the Courier Post. “Finding the right location was as important to us as the need to increase capacity. The decision on where to move took us years to finalize and ultimately, we landed on Medford.
Construction is expected to start soon.
Ruta said Medford has a beautiful downtown and they are excited about the visibility of being on Main Street.
“The town has a charm and community focus that we were drawn to,” he added. “For instance, we are excited about the many events Medford sponsors for community involvement and are looking forward to being an active participant.”
He added that Medford has a strong community and that beer brings people together and by joining “we can only help to grow that community.”
Medford’s other breweries include: King’s Road, which is located at The Feed Mill, Lower Forge and Farm Truck.
The expansion here has been in the works for years. Magnify sad in an Instagram post that in early 2020 it had found the “perfect location but at that time, the world had other plans.”
“We also have a significant customer base in the Medford and the larger South Jersey area,” Ruta said. “People already know us and support us, so it was a logical next step to grow our presence with a physical location. We are looking forward to continuing to connect with these customers and to building relationships the many new ones we have yet to meet — with a brewery in their backyard.”
The brewery will have an on-premise experience with roughly 130 capacity indoor and 120 in their outdoor beer garden.
There will also be a spacious taproom, and a full production facility on site where they can distribute beer (both kegs and cans) they brew and package there, Ruta said.
An earlier post on Magnify Brewing’s Instagram page stated that it looked forward to expanding the community “we’ve fostered in northern NJ to the southern half of our state. Fairfield is near and dear to our hearts. The original brewery and tap room will continue to operate as-is.”
