Philosophy and beer, it's the same thing: when consumed, they change all perceptions we have of the world.

USA, AZ: Vulture Peak Brewing Company holds official grand opening in Wickenburg
Brewery news

The official grand opening of Vulture Peak Brewing Company (VPBC) took place on Friday, May 10 from 3-9 p.m., The Wickenburg Sun reported.

Created by Bryce Webster and Jeremy Nunn, Vulture Peak Brewing Company is the first of its kind in Wickenburg and the surrounding area. With Webster being a Wickenburg High School graduate and Nunn joining the community in 2020, the two are excited about starting the business locally.

While both are new to the brewing business, both Webster and Nunn took the appropriate training needed to make the business a success. Webster completed an online program in brewery management from the University of Washington and Nunn became a Certified Brewmaster.

While this project has been in the works for quite a long time, the two were finally able to find a location at 120 N Washington Street, right in the heart of Downtown Wickenburg.

According to Webster, they “currently offer a variety of seven different beers and (a) special Desert Drencher Prickly Pear hard seltzer on tap. You'll find that each beer has a story behind it.” Some of the current beers now available include: Cowboy Kevin, a strong Scotch Ale; Lost Scotsman, a Scottish export; H.W. Stout, a full-bodied coffee stout; Wavon Wheat, a wheat beer; Day Drinker Lite, an American Lager; Molly Mattingly, an American Ale; and the Wickenburg Way, a west coast IPA. Customers are able to order beer by the pint, 4 or 6 serving flights, and growlers to go. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase.

Webster also stated that they “have future plans to offer cans, pony kegs, and kegs for purchase. And the next batch of new beer options is getting brewed soon.”

Webster and Nunn hope that the brewery will attract Wickenburgers hoping to try new flavors of beer. “VPBC is owned by locals who want to make a difference in this community," said Webster. "We wanted to bring something to Wickenburg that doesn't exist anywhere else in Wickenburg currently. We also wanted to bring great flavors that are fresh. (We) have brewed these beers with (our) whole hearts. Come to VPBC for the fun, relaxing atmosphere, and stay for the delicious and new flavors you can't get anywhere else.”

As for the future, Webster and Nunn want to “partner with as many local businesses as possible,” according to Webster. The pair plans on bringing in food truck vendors, as well as “actively finding other ways to pair up with local restaurants to have food ordered and delivered to the brewery.”

Vulture Peak Brewing Company is currently open Monday through Friday from 3-9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
