Canada, AB: Old Yale Brewing to open new location in Beaumont in early spring 2025
Brewery news

Chilliwack craft brewer Old Yale Brewing announced Thursday (August 1) it will expand its operations and open a new location in Beaumont, Alberta in early spring 2025, Fraser Valley Today reported.

In a news release from the company, Old Yale Brewing says the expansion represents a significant milestone as their third Craft Brewery + Kitchen branding, giving the company an even larger footprint for sharing their exceptional product with even more beer enthusiasts.

The new venue will be situated in the new Le Reve Community development in Beaumont, Alberta, just minutes south of Edmonton. Old Yale says the new two-storey location will feature a spacious 11,000-square foot facility, offering 20 beers on tap and housing their 100-square foot, 7.5 hectolier brewery. The new Craft Brewery + Kitchen will also showcase a vast selection of cocktails, wine, cider and an expanded Campfire Kitchen menu.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest venture in Beaumont, Alberta. Planning for this exciting new restaurant began in 2020, and it’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey marked by ups, downs, and unforeseen delays, including a worldwide pandemic,” said Zach Van Leeuwen, managing partner of Old Yale Brewing. “I’m immensely proud of our team’s perseverance and dedication in bringing this unique craft brewery and kitchen to life. Some of my favourite features of this new location are our three patios, each with a scenic view of the Le Reve pond, a dedicated kids’ area with a playhouse and two giant projector screens (for watching the Oilers win the Cup in 2025!). We’re excited to offer a vibrant space where the community can gather, enjoy great food, and experience our award-winning craft beers. We can’t wait to welcome our friends, family, customers and the Beaumont community to join us in celebrating this new chapter.”

The Beaumont Location will feature three patios (one covered and two overlooking the Le Reve pond), two full-service bars, an indoor games lodge, a kids’ play area, a beer and merchandise store, two stages for live music, private room rentals and unique cabin-inspired design elements including private cabin booths, a mural and an indoor fireplace.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing the exceptional Old Yale Brewing craft brewery experience to our neighboring province in spring 2025,” said Heather Perdue, brand and marketing strategist for Old Yale Brewing. “This new two-floor, cabin-inspired building, featuring two bars, three patios and over 400 seats, promises to be an epic addition to our family. We can’t wait to welcome new friends and loyal fans alike to enjoy our inviting atmosphere and outstanding brews in this incredible new and unique space.”

Old Yale Brewing launched in 1999 in Chilliwack. They moved to their current production facility at 404-44550 South Sumas Road and Craft Brewery Kitchen in 2016 and opened their second location in Abbotsford in 2023. Old Yale Brewing has received multiple awards for their beers.

“From their flagship Sasquatch Stout to the adventurous Moon Dance Mango Wheat, each brew is crafted with the finest ingredients and dedication to quality,” Old Yale Brewing said.
