USA, WI: Voodoo Brewing prepares to open in downtown Delafield
Bryan Ronning is eager to bring Voodoo Brewing to downtown Delafield, but residents will have to wait a few more months before they can drink a cold glass of Good Vibes (a West Coast sweet IPA) or Thunder Lizard (an Imperial IPA), GMToday.com reported on October 19.
Voodoo Brewing will be one of the commercial occupants of The Grain, a mass timber, four-story building at 705 Genesee St. Ronning said the finishing is being done on the space. He hopes to have Voodoo Brewing open in early 2025.
Founded in 2005 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Voodoo Brewing Co. has since expanded to have locations around the U.S. This will be the first in Wisconsin. The beer will continue to be brewed in Pennsylvania.
Ronning, who is opening the Delafield location with his parents, Bruce and Donna Ronning, said Voodoo Brewing will offer “beer and food that is just a cut above.”
The initial interior setup will include larger tables for community seating. Ronning said he wants people to come in, hang out and meet the person next to them. Customers will order from the bar or use a QR code to order and a table runner will bring it to them. However, Ronning said his location will be driven by the community so feedback will be taken into consideration and the setup could be changed.
The menu is still being figured out, but Ronning said it will have appetizers, wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches and some healthier options such as salmon bowls with quinoa and salads. On Friday, there will be a fish fry.
To wash it all down, there will be 20 taps, including local brews in addition to Voodoo brews. With a full liquor license, there will be the option of mixed drinks.
