The U.K.'s benchmark FTSE 100 Index rose, led by shares in brewer SABMiller Plc, and mining companies BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto Group. The FTSE 100 added 9.8 or 0.2 percent, to 4,904.20 as of 8:04 a.m. in London. The FTSE All-Share Index rose 0.2 percent to 2463.32.
