USA, VT: Simple Roots Brewing closing its taps for good
Burlington’s Simple Roots Brewing is closing its taps, and doors, MyChamplainValley.com reported on September 3.
The closure was announced on social media this week, with founders Dan Ukolowicz and Kara Pawlusiak writing that the decision “has not come easily.”
The company began in Ukolowicz and Pawlusiak’s garage in 2014, and eventually expanded to a tasting room at their current space in the New North End, on Burlington’s North Ave in 2016.
Still, Simple Roots Brewing is not closing their doors just yet. Normal hours will continue for now, and more definitive dates will be released in the future. In a joint statement from the pair online, they revealed plans for an event next month to “celebrate what we’ve built together” and thank patrons in person.
That special event will be held Saturday, October 11.
The duo also thanked their regulars, saying their “support and loyalty have meant the world to us. You’ve helped us build more than just a business — you helped create a space filled with connection, laughter, and shared memories.”
