Japan: Suntory's Premium Malt's beer wins top prize at int'l contest

Suntory Ltd announced on June 14 its beer The Premium Malt's won the grand gold medal at the Monde Selection international liquor and food contest, making it the first Japanese brewer to receive the title in the beer category, according to Kyodo News.

Suntory said The Premium Malt's features rich flavors as it contains 1.2 times more malt than the company's regular beer products and about twice the amount of hops.
