The Japanese brewer, Sapporo Breweries Ltd., has revealed its plans to reach a marginal growth of 0.4% in domestic beer sales for the current fiscal year to the end of December 2003. That would put annual volumes at 77m cases, according to Just-drinks.com.
“Although the percentage growth target is small, it would represent something of a recovery for Sapporo, which saw domestic beer sales decline by 8.6% in 2002.”
