UK: Coors Brewers continues to work with the Old Firm in Scotland

Coors Brewers announced on July 25 a five-year extension to Carling lager’s sponsorship of the Scottish Premier League’s top two teams Celtic and Rangers, according to The Publican. As a result of an £18m deal, Carling will now continue to be the main shirt sponsor for the two Old Firm teams until 2010.

Paul Miller, Coors Brewers’ director of sales in Scotland, said: “We are very excited about continuing to work with the Old Firm in Scotland.

"We plan to work together over the next five years to provide more opportunities for Scottish customers to enjoy great quality beer as well as competitions and events, such as the hugely successful Get Your Kit On promotion where Carling drinkers got their chance to play in their own Old Firm tournament at Ibrox and Celtic Park.”
