World: Events in barley markets for week 50

The EU Grains Management Committee approved 17.5 TMT of free market barley for export in the week 50 with a subsidy or refund of 2.97 euros/MT, Idaho Barley Commission announcede.

The Japanese Agriculture Ministry (MAFF) did not tender for barley imports in week 50.

USDA raised their estimate of Australian barley production this month to 8.5 MMT, the second highest crop on record and nearly 1 MMT above last year. They also raised their projection for Australian barley exports by 1.2 MMT in December to 5.5 MMT.
