Ukraine: World football star became the face of “Obolon” Beer Company

World football star, Andriy Shevchenko, forward of Italian “Milan” and the Ukrainian combined team, has become the face of “Obolon” Beer Company, Ukrainian newspapers published on January 23.

Company’s honorary president Oleksander Slobodian claimed this at a press conference in UNIAN today. He expressed a belief that the contract will help to promote “Obolon” beer at the world market.

A.Shevchenko disclosed that his collaboration with “Obolon” will involve not only taking part in advertising, but also in various programs, including those to help children.

The football player stressed that, for him, “Obolon” is not only a symbol of Ukraine, but it reminds him of his childhood and the beginning of his career in sport. “I grew up in Obolon [a district of Kyiv - UNIAN], I studied and made my first football steps there”, said he.

A.Shevchenko refused to disclose the sum of the contract, but pointed out that Ukraine appreciates its sportsmen and the “contract is very nice”.
