USA: Oskar Blues Brewery expands in North Carolina
A change in North Carolina law has allowed a Colorado brewer to begin selling its beer in the Tarheel State. Oskar Blues Brewery has expanded into North Carolina with the introduction there of its Dale's Pale Ale and Old Chub Scottish-Style Ale, according to a report from Denver Business Journal as of March 24.
The product of s of the brewery are at present sold in 11 states, with the most recent rollouts in Massachusetts and New York. Previous North Carolina law forbade until now the sale of any beer more than 6 % alcohol by volume. Dale's Pale Ale is 6.5 % and Old Chub is 8 % alcohol. North Carolina lawmakers last year raised the allowable level to 15 %.
