USA: Silver City wins gold at Mountain Brewer’s Brew Fest

The Silverdale establishment, after its strong ale Fat Bastard earned a silver medal in April at the World Beer Cup, won four medals last weekend at the 12th annual Mountain Brewers’ Brew Fest in Idaho Fall, Idaho, The Kitsap Sun posted June 09.

Fat Bastard and Clear Creek Pale Ale, an English pale ale, claimed gold medals for Silver City, beating out big-time breweries such as Sam Adams for the honors.

Silver City also earned two bronze medals for Fat Woody in the smoke- and wood-flavored category and for Oktoberfest in the Martzen-Oktoberfest category.

More than 70 breweries, including all the major ones, competed in the Idaho beer fest.
