Despite quite unfavorable weather conditions all over Ukraine, farmers are becoming more actively involved in spring fieldwork. According to State Statistics Committee, as of April 1 spring grains were seeded on 79,300 hectares (1.5% of agriculture ministry's forecast for spring grains sown area), of which 60,500 hectares were planted with spring barley (1.8% of the forecast).
