USA: Idaho Barley Commission reported October 12 barley prices were 15 to 60 cents higher

Idaho weekly barley prices were 15 to 60 cents higher, the Idaho Barley Commission released October 12.

USDA made only a few minor adjustments to the U.S. barley balance sheet this month. They lowered U.S. production by 3 million bushels to 180 million bushels, lowered imports by 5 million bushels to 15 million bushels and lowered U.S. ending stocks by 8 million bushels to 88 million bushels. They also raised the marketing year average farm price by 10 cents on both ends of the range to $2.55 to $2.95/bushel.
