Carlsberg, Denmark’s beer maker, has confirmed that it has to spend on acquisitions between DKr10 billion and DKr15 billion. However, the company said it would not be looking to invest all that in one single deal. Povl Krogsgaard-Larsen, the company's chairman, said that the group had considered recently bidding for Italian and Austrian breweries but had decided they were too expensive, an article in the Danish newspaper, Berlingske Tidende, said.
