Yanjing Brewery, together with Beiging Enterprises Beverage Company, has bought Shandong Qufu San Kong Beer, a beer producer situated in the home province of its prime rival, Tsingtao Beer
Yanjing is second China’s brewer after Tsingtao. Its output has increased to 1.8m last year, due to several acquisitions. Yanjing Brewery has paid USD 14.5m for 52% of Shandong Qufu San Kong Beer, which has an annual capacity of 400 000 tonnes of beer. The 48 % of the company will be held by San Kong.
