The Russian brewer, Yarpivo, has registered a net profit of RUB 1.310 billion (US$42 million) for 2002, 19.1% up versus 2003 net profit, Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) reported. Total sales revenues rose by 56% to RUB 4.838 billion (US$156.6 million). In 2002 Yarpivo sold 470 million litres of beer, 34% more than in 2001 (350 million litres).

Olga Belyusova, the company"s deputy general director, told the annual general meeting that “Yarpivo shareholders voted to pay a RUB530 per share dividend for 2002, against RUB400 per share in 2001.” The remaining 40% of Yarpivo is owned by its employees.

Yarpivo is 60%-owned by the Carlsberg/S&N joint venture, Baltic Beverage Holding (BBH).
