| E-Malt.com News article: Russia: Welsh brewery tries to convince Russian drinkers to select traditional ales
Hurns Brewery, of Swansea, which makes the Tomos Watkin range of ales, has announced it will start selling its beers in Moscow, icWales reported August 7.
The firm already sells bottles of its ales, including Cwrw Haf (Summer Ale) to the US, where they sell particularly well in Chicago, company bosses claim.
Now bottles of Cwrw Haf and Cwrw Braf (Lovely Ale) are being sold to Moscow.
Jeff Evans, the Rhondda-born former Good Beer Guide editor and author of The Good Bottled Beer Guide, said Russia was a difficult market to break into for traditional British ales because Russian drinkers had a notorious love of strong drinks.
