Plans of the Hertfordshire (UK) brewery McMullen and Sons' to put the business up for sale have been buried as the current owners, David and Fergus McMullen, have decided to buy out shareholders by selling non-brewing assets and land, the St Albans Observer writes. Messrs McMullen say they are keen to continue the family brewing tradition, although David McMullen will step down as chairman and joint managing director for health reasons.
