Brewer InBev is to outsource a number of its internal service staff, according to reports in dailies De Tijd, L'Echo and La Libre Belgique, citing the company, Thomson Financial reported February 1.

The decision taken by management affects the group's 'facility management' activities, comprising of reception, service and internal postal operations at its headquarters in Leuven. The external party is yet to be identified.

According to the reports, InBev said the employment and work conditions of some 35 staff will be unaffected. The group will undertake discussions with unions.

L'Echo said the decision allows the group to concentrate on its central production and sales-orientated operations.
