E-Malt.com News article: Nigeria: Heineken's Nigerian Breweries 2007 profit soars 74%

Nigerian Stock Exchange published the audited results of Nigerian Breweries Plc, majority-owned by Dutch brewer Heineken, for its full year to December 31, 2007, Reuters reported February 29.

The 2007 turnover amounted 111,748 billions naira compared with 86,332 billion in 2006.

Profit after tax was of 18,942 billion naira, 74% higher than in 2006 (10,900 billion naira).

The board has proposed a dividend of 1.95 naira per share for shareholders in the company's books by April 15, 2008, when the register will be closed for payment on May 29.
