E-Malt.com News article: USA: Anheuser-Busch certifies E-Commerce solution for its distributors

Intervolve, Inc., the pioneer in providing on demand supply chain software using web and mobile technologies, announced that Anheuser-Busch has certified their E-Commerce solution for A-B distributors, Business Wire reported March 18. An integrated part of Intervolve’s Route Accounting System (RAS), the E-Commerce solution allows distributors to conduct business electronically with retailers, reducing paper usage and improving operating efficiencies.

“E-Commerce and EDI are a proven way for distributors to boost retailer satisfaction and optimize their back-office operations,” said Bill Kaluza, CEO of Intervolve. “Being certified by Anheuser-Busch is a major milestone towards Intervolve being an A-B compliant independent software vendor.”

With the E-Commerce solution, distributors can streamline the delivery process by transmitting pre-delivery notices to retailers. The payment process can be simplified through EDI transmission of invoices and electronic funds transfer information. Intervolve’s solution also automates the communication of price and promotion information with retailers.

The new E-Commerce functionality will be available in April, when Intervolve’s RAS 5 will be released. Over 27 trading partners depend on Intervolve’s current E-Commerce platform for their daily business transactions.

Intervolve is currently in the testing phase with Anheuser-Busch for certification on A-B Mobility. Intervolve is already certified with A-B on their major technology initiatives, including Budnet and UPS Logistics integration, and is committed to achieving full ISV compliance.
