E-Malt.com News article: Uganda: Uganda Breweries kicks off responsible drinking campaign

Uganda Breweries (UBL) has kicked off a campaign for responsible drinking, Newvision reported March 27. The campaign is part of the company’s strategy to encourage responsible behavioural practices in relation to alcohol consumption.

It will involve messages in print and outdoor media in strategic sites around the country, Marion Muyobo, the head of corporate relations, said.

Muyobo urged the public to appoint designated drivers or use taxis when going out to drink.

“We will always advocate responsible drinking for those above the legal drinking age of 18 years, and will continue to invest heavily in the education of consumers.”
