Brick Brewing Co. Limited announces that its Board of Directors appointed George H. Croft as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective immediately, according to CNW, May 12.

Over the last two and half decades in the Canadian beer industry, Mr. Croft has taken on a number of significant challenges. He started his career with Labatt Breweries of Canada where he held various senior management assignments, including President, Oland Specialty Beer Company, which under his leadership achieved significant annual volume and EBITDA growth. Subsequently as President, Labatt Breweries of Ontario, Mr. Croft delivered superior operating results in Canada's largest market. He then joined Lakeport Brewing Income Fund in the capacity of President and Chief Operating Officer where he was responsible for all of the Fund's operational and commercial matters.

"George's unique mix of strategic vision, passion and discipline, combined with his intimate understanding of the beer industry, particularly in the premium and value segments, make him the right person for our plan to take Brick to the next important level," said Jim Brickman, Executive Chairman and Founder.

"I feel very fortunate to be working closely with Jim Brickman and the staff at Brick Brewery, and I'm enthusiastic about what we can accomplish together in the coming years," Mr. Croft said. "I appreciate the Board of Directors' confidence in me and look forward to this exciting opportunity", added Croft.

Mr. Croft, 47, is a graduate of the University of Alberta and the DeGroote School of Business, Chartered Director Program.
