SABMiller’s Zambian Breweries PLC announced on November, 21 its interim results for the six months to September, 30.

The first half of the financial year saw strong underlying growth on beer sales volume registering 12.2% above prior year. Significant growth was noted on Eagle Lager, which contributed close to 15% of total beer sales volumes for the period, the brewer reported.

An impressive double digit growth of 11% on net revenue was registered by the Group (K232,969 mln).

Profit before interest and tax increased by 3.47% to K35,872 mln.
