E-Malt.com News article: EU: The Brewers of Europe welcome a new member

The Brewers of Europe announced on January, 1 that the Slovak Beer and Malt Association (Slovenske zdrunzenie vyrobcov piva a sladu) became its 27th member.

Formal approval membership application was granted by the General Assembly of The Brewers of Europe in November.

The Slovak Beer and Malt Association was founded in 1991 in Bratislava. The Slovak breweries produce 3,900,000 hl of beer and the Slovak malt plants - 280,000 tons of malt annually. In 1996, the Slovak Beer and Malt Association became member of EBC.
