Interbrew. the Belgian brewer plans to sell the Carling Brewers asset of Bass Brewers. This is one of two options given by the British Court to overcome competition concerns over its purchase of Bass. This decision allows Interbrew to keep an important part of the Bass Brewers business and go ahead to strengthen its presence in the UK beer market.
