E-Malt.com News article: Czech Republic: Brewer Budějovický Budvar says total exports stable in 2009, shipments to Germany up by 9.3%

Czech brewer Budějovický Budvar said on February, 17 its exports to Germany increased by 9.3% to 205 thousand hl last year.

The brewer said last year was stable in terms of exports. Budějovický Budvar shipped to 58 nations worldwide a total of 580 thousand hl of its production, practically the same amount as in 2008. Taking into account that the official statistics of total Czech beer exports are expected to show next month a 10% decline, Budvar’s flat export volume is a good result, the company said.
