| E-Malt.com News article: UK: Heineken to start another campaign on UK televisions
Heineken, the flagship beer of the eponymous brewery, is returning to UK TV screens this month, MorningAdvertiser informed on August 12.
The multi-million pound ad campaign, which will also appear on cinema screens, will include the UK debut of Heineken’s Dutch advertisment, Walk In Fridge, which has already won global media fame.
The advert plays on men and women’s very different and often misunderstood passions in life and shows just how far men will go for their love of Heineken. The ad opens with a group of young women cheering noisily as the owner proudly reveals her new walk-in wardrobe. Their excitement is upstaged, however, when her partner introduces his mates to his own ultimate indulgence – a Heineken walk in fridge.
“Walk in Fridge is our first TV advertisement since 2008 and we are aiming to build on the popularity of this advertisement which has already received outstanding interest internationally and online,” said brand manager Julia Rodger. “It plays cleverly and effectively on the popularity of advertisements which use humour to engage viewers and increase their viewing enjoyment whilst conveying the brand’s premium nature, authenticity and desirability.
