South Africa cut its malting barley forecast for this year, Bloomberg reported on September, 23.

Farmers may reap 225,716 metric tons of malting barley, 5.6 percent less than earlier forecast, Marda Scheepers, an official at the government’s Crop Estimates Committee, was quoted as saying.
