Belarus and Ukraine have agreed on the terms of supply of Ukrainian beer to Belarus, IA Regnum reported on January, 27.
The agreement has been reached after negotiations between Belarus state-controlled trading house Belgospischeprom and Obolon (one of Ukraine’s top beer producers). Belgospischeprom Chairman Ivan Danchenko said now that the two parties had agreed on the pricing of Ukrainian beer shipped to Belarus, the brewers from the two neighbouring countries were subject to equal conditions.
In 2010, Belarus beer makers brewed 3.4 mln hl of beer, it is reported. Imports of beer from Ukraine totalled 0.4 mln hl in January – November last year.
