| E-Malt.com News article: US, IN: Sun King brewery installs two new beer tanks
Sun King brewery is celebrating the rebirth of an Indiana industry. The establishment has installed the first two beer tanks that have been manufactured in the Hoosier state in decades, Fox 59 communicated on March, 21.
The 60-barrel fermentation tank and the 60-barrel bright tank went up at Sun King Brewery on North College Avenue in the morning of March, 21. The tanks, holding 1,800 gallons each, were built by Poynter Sheet Metal of Bloomington.
Sun King's owner, Omar Robinson, said the partnership helps improve their local commitment. "We do ingredients locally, we get our services locally, basically we're driven to be a local business."
Sun King features several seasonal or specialty beers each month. The brewery produced more than 5,000 barrels last year in its first year of business.
It expects to produce 10- to 12,000 barrels this year.
