Green Flash Brewing Co made on August, 23 a definitive announcement to its California distributors, retailers and consumers: Green Flash will not raise wholesale pricing in California for the duration of 2011 or throughout 2012.

The company recently made the move to a 45,000 sq ft brewery and is now one of the largest in San Diego. While the bigger facility may lead consumers to anticipate that this family-owned operation may be inclined to increase prices to support its recent growth, in fact the opposite is true. The brewery's new capabilities and state-of-the-art equipment at the new location allow for more efficient brewing, the ability to develop more cost-effective relationships with ingredient suppliers as well as increased control over how they conduct their business.

"While the country's mega-brewers raise prices through declining market share, we are pleased to support our retailers, particularly the family owned restaurants and specialty shops across the state. We will hold prices constant for at least the next sixteen months, so our retailers can continue to grow their Green Flash business," says Mike Hinkley, Green Flash Founder and CEO.
